I’m Paul Cobb.
I learn by building.

I buy, renovate, and operate real estate. forVEX is the record of how I’m making that business work better.

The tools go where the work is.

The business is the subject.

The work involves deals, rehab scopes, operating decisions, and the systems that keep track of it all. Technology is part of that work. The tools keep changing; the responsibility for the decision stays with me.

Why keep the record?

A finished system hides the decisions that made it. I want to preserve those decisions while the reasoning is still clear: what I tried, what held up, and what I changed my mind about.

The Journal is for the longer thinking. Updates record smaller changes. The Story connects them. And Now shows the current shape of the operation.

Keep the judgment human.

I use Claude Cowork, skills, and connected tools to help with the work. I review and approve what gets published. This site is written from an operator’s perspective, with the original sources linked wherever possible.
